emperor tetra info

Been looking at pics and info of Emperor tetras and they seem like outstanding fish. I'd really like to get some down the road when my tank starts to clear out.

One thing I've seen is contradicting info on ppl saying they're better in small groups (3 or 4) vs. some saying they're better in shoals. This makes a large difference in a 20 G. Any info?

Thinking about Emperors, pencilfish (dwarf most likely), and cories or kuhlies in a community with a fairly fast flowing filter (say that 5x fast ).

I cant say much except that they dont like dry food, mine wouldnt go near anything dry. They like frozen and live stuff though, maybe it was just the fish that i recieved.

Like most Characins, they do appreciate more of their own kind for company, but Emperors are quite tough and will do fine in a smaller group of 3 or 4 as well.
