Oooo I'm excited for you Libertine, keep us updated!!

Thanks Synirr, she has about 10-13 right now, I'm not sure how many more she will have.

YEAH! :hyper:

But she chose the worst place to give birth, under the newspaper I lined her cage with... :/

WOW lots of Babies.Typical you make all the best nests available and she chooses under the paper
Bet its so hard not to keep looking at them but its the only way at first incase she eats them :/

grahamsokel and Synirr, I'm trying to get some pictures today. There are thirteen babies, all with milk bands so thats good. :D :good:

While I'm completely disinterested in joining in the war on pedigree or not rats.

Can I please just say, leave your poor animal alone with her offspring! She does not need your help which should be made obvious by the fact that your chosen "perfect" nesting areas prooved completely unsuitable for her, she is an animal she knows what she is doing and you are interfering an awful lot. You're pretty lucky she didnt go bananas with you sticking a camera in there within hours of her stressful ordeal of birthing them all.

Please just have some respect for your pet's privacy and leave her to it for a while.

Glad she had her babies and everyone is well.

It wasn't a war on pedigree, it was nothing to do with pedigree. It was honest advice on the health of the rats and the responsibility of breeding. :hey:

Completely agree with the rest of your post.
