Purchased a few a couple of weeks back, not expecting them to grow as quick as they have. How would I go about trimming them?

Is it just a case of simply cutting them to the height I want or will that harm the plant? And I assume the cuttings can be replanted?

Probably really easy answer, but I just want to make sure.

Yup, you got it, just take off the top and plant it in the substrate.

It's nearly doubled in size in just under a week. Without any help. Good job I didn't buy as many as I'd originally planned.

Last week i bought 5 Elodea Densa from Greenline.
From what i read in America and Brazil the plant is a pest and you should not put it down the toilet as it breeds like crazy and blocks up the Water ways.
Read not to use flourish on it as it melts and dies, is this true.
Not had any problems with Algae since i put my new plants in.

I am a newbie and need all the help i can get.

Wont be long till i will have to trim mine as well LOL

It's Flourish Excel that has the problem, elodea doesn't have stomata (I hope I got that right!) and cannot process Excel. A number of plants have this issue, including Java Moss.
