Electric Blue Rams Sexing?

I have 2 young electric blue rams how can I sex them?

Look at the ends of the dorsal and anal fins. Males will have a pointed end, which extends out past the caudal peduncle; females will have shorter, rounder fins,

Will the pointed fin only developas they get older like it does with the kribs?

Yes, it won't show on very young fish, which will all look female to start with.

Is there any other way of telling?

No, I'm afraid not; all the other methods rely on markings and/or colour, which just aren't present in electric blues.
