you can get these electric blue rams and the females from maidenhead aquatics in the UK we have just got 2 electric blue males and a multi coloured female.

my lfs sells the new electric blue rams for £10 each, think there was only 2 left but can get more.
but thats in morecambe, lancashire, england!

wow, i must say i saw one of these and just had to buy it because they are stunning (even if it did cost 18 quid), but mine has a yellowish patch on his head where yours is black......must say the black looks so cool compared to the yellow. lol

Hi all,

I have an Electric Blue Ram (New breed), like the German Blue, with heavy fast breathing.

My stats:
Amm 0ppm
NitrItres 0ppm
NitrAtes 20ppm
GH 4dGH
PH 6.7

72g bow front - a sucessful -heavily planted community tank. He is the only ram in there.

Although, this is a new breed, I find I always have this problem with only rams, whether they blue or gold. They start fast heavy, rapid, breathing and die a couple of weeks later.

I don't know if its parasitic or bacterial. There are no marks found on there body just the rapid breathing.
