Hey

I have just got a great deal on a second hand tank, its an eheim wave 75g and came with the stand/hood, lights, an ehiem 2026 filter as well.

I have brought an RO filter and 2 heater, one is 200w and the other is 150w (i hope this will be enough) I will be buying new media for the eheim filter and a new all pond solutions 2000lph filter as well.

I am setting this up for discus, a shoal of cardinal tetras and some german blue rams if i can get away with them. I will also be doing a fishless cycle so if all goes to plan then i will have the fish in at the begining of december.

Here is a pic of the tank!

Love the tank :)

Have you ordered the APS2000 filter yet? If not the discount code OCTOBER-15 is valid until tomorrow evening and will give you 15% off ;)

i was going to order is tomorrow (waiting for payday lol) thanks for the code as well, i was actually trying to find a code on myvoucher.com but couldnt see any.

Start a photo log in the pictures section. I have the feeling this will be an awesome tank.
As for your heaters, they should do the job just fine. I use 2 200 watts on my 100 plus 30 in the sump, without any issues.
The rams will mix quite nicely.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I would so turn that into a marine reef if it was mine :D

I was torn between tropical or marine (i even have a deltec mce600 skimmer) the only reason i went ropical is i want an even bigger tank with a sump when i finally take the marine plunge

Thanks, yuo havnt seen my aqua=scapping skills yet (or lack of lol) its the first time i will have had discus though so i i am going to start off minimal with no substrate just so i can be sure all the paramaters are ok. But i do have big plans for it eventually.

lol my girlfriend is the same, she wont let me set up this lovely bowl i have for a betta (well not yet anyway) i need to think of a cunning plan to get her to agree :D

I had to set up a Juwel Vision 260 for the wife and a FishXBox 60 for the kids just to get the go ahead for turning the Trigon into a marine :)

what do you all think about this background on the tank (the one on the right)?

It will cover the back and the left side of the tank, i cant decide between this and a plain black one.
