Hi folks

I'm in the market for a 240l tank and have narrowed it down to the roma 240 and vivaline 240, I know the eheim vivaline is more expensive but is it worth it quality wise over the roma, I have a 200 Roma at moment and can't fault it apart from the lids on the tank and the cabinet is basic so just wondering what people's opinions are or expirences with the eheim ? I will be upgrading the light on either tank I get to the aquasky so that's not a issue at moment

Thanks guys

I have the Roma 200 and 240. The cabinet is a significantly better build on the 240. I built my own for the 200 as the over supplied just looked to flimsy for my liking.
The 240 has a drilled base which I quite like, not sure vivaline does? Otherwise I can't really fault the roma tanks for the money.

Thanks for the reply, my Roma 200 is about 8 years old now i thought the lids on these would have been made a bit better on the LEDs but seem the same but I suppose this is to be expected for the price range it falls in. I seen the eheim has the sliding more solid hood but was unsure if this is enough to pay the extra money it costs for the vivaline and if the cabinet is better on the 240 the Roma could be the way to go again !! I've seen the pre drilled holes on the 240 which I really like

Yeh the top and sides are a decent thickness and the rest of the cabinet (base, back brace and doors) is the thinner osb3 board

Thanks really appreciate it only thing I hated on my 200 was my aquamanta filter meant I had to cut slots in the hood but no big deal if plan on letting the supplied 307 cycle then switch the manta for another new one
