Eheim Professional 2 - Better Than The Pro?

Is the eheim professional 2 significantly better than the pro. I know it has the flow rate visible etc, but just on pure filtration efficiency, is it worth the extra money?

i have a pro 2 2028 and its really good,but,i've never owned another external so can't really comment.
