I've been having horrible time with my Eheim Pro III 2075. Every time it's unplugged and plugged back in, or if there's a power outage, the motor continues to run, but there zero flow. Seems like air is still trapped in there after weeks of use. Once it gets like that, I have to open it up, empty the pre-filter (per instructions) and try to prime it again. If the priming doesn't go well, I have to open it again, empty the pre-filter and start all over again. At one time, I had to do this at 1:00 AM after a power outage and was up until 3:00 AM, pumping and and priming and dumping the water. Eheim is losing its legendary engineering.
My older Eheim Pro II had none of these issues. It worked without a glitch for a good 8 years until it started to leak and I decided it was cheaper to upgrade than to have 100 gallons of water on the floor.
If anyone has any priming tricks to share, I'd love to hear.
