Eheim Or Fluval

hi i am looking at getting a new tank 35 gal 18" deep. i am not sure which filter to get. I am stuck between:

1. Fluval 3+ or 4+ (not sure if they will be too big
2. Eeim 2010 or 2012

looking into pro's and cons in long run cost maintanence

Eheim's every time,Better construction and parts.
Been using Eheim's ever since I was a kid, (been around for eons).

I have two external filters, 1 Fluval and 1 Eheim. Of the two the Eheim Ecco is most definitely the quiter and more efficient.

i find the internal fluvals are good but eheim do better externals

My Fluval 3+ has done me proud over the last 10 months, but I'm moving to an external (Hydor Prime 10 - free gift!) to increase the amount of space inside my tank for nice stuff like fish etc..

Eheim are better filters plus they fit in the tank better than a fluval as they round and don't take as much room up.
