Hi,

Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the inline double-tap-connectors (parts 4004412 and 4003412)? I have a new classic 2211 and apart from being able to disconnect the pipes easier, was wondering if I could also use them to control the flow? Like the double head connector does on the pro 2222?

Any advice/experience would be grately appreciated :)

Cheers

Sam

PS Zig, if you happen to read this, I got my 2211 today and its all set up looks good so far, just need a plug adaptor and then I'll start it up. Just wondering if you've considered using these connectors to control the flow from your 2211 or any of the Eheim classic range for that matter?

I asked the customer support center a similar question. I was concerned that seriously reducing the flow would cause damage. Here's the response I received:

Dear Jay,
Thank you for your e-mail. As long as water is being pump by the filter,
reducing the flow won't cause any damage. However, in some cases, the filter
can be loud.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further assistance.

Hi Jay,

Many thanks for the responce, I had almost given up hope!

Well guess that solves that one then!

I am going to add another couple of taps in line so that I don't have to mess with adjustments every time I remove my filter. My 2213 is going to filter a 30gal amphibian tank, and there's only 10 or so gallons of water. If i don't get mine set correctly (the return will power a waterfall and a spraybar), I'll have a whirlpool and a fountain :D
Good luck with your setup.

Sounds interesting! Hope yours goes ok too.

Cheers again for the advice.

Sam
