hi ppl as you will see im new to keeping fish,i bought a jewel190 corner tank and i have 2 eheim classic filter pumps the problem is they were working fine untill i decide to clean them .the prob is they work for about 3 days as normal then the water slows right down and the tank goes all misty as if i have a blockage but dont think its that .just water intake has slowed down so much any help would be great .
cheers ppl ron

have you checked your external pipes for any kinks????are you sure you have put all the media/pads in the correct order in the filter????is the filter assembled in the correct way(no parts in the wrong place)??? just a few things to check.if none of these then come back to us for further help.

all of my pipes are fine i just checked them, all parts seem fine also it worked fine at first for like 3 days when i first cleaned the filter out completely.i have checked all the basic things time and time aagain but keep coming up with same thing so pretty sure its not the pipes and the way its set up......cheers for ur help

i have all blue spounges up towards the top and then a white spounge and then a black 1...i think that is the right way

do you have instructions for your filter????i first set mine up and made a balls up of putting it together.it made funny noises/one of the pipes had a kink etc.let someone else have a check???what about takink 1 of your filters(complete) to your local fish shop and get them to plug it in.they should be able to help you.

yeah think i might have to try something as it puzzles me lol. -_-

The Eheim site shows the coarse filter towards the bottom of the cannister, with the finer filter towards the top.

i dont suppose ya have a link to where ya found this do you m8 so i can check it out and see if i got it right . cheers

cheers for that link scott i read up on it and realised i wasnt emptying the pipes of the water and therefore causing air blockage i think.....i have just done it the way the link said and its pumping the water round lovely so far so just gotta see how long it last for now...thanks for all your help ppl :)
