Eheim Classic Vs Ecco

if only i read this before lol. Eheim ecco 2232. Still havnt fired it up though. However, its power consumption is only 6w!

Ive had my 2234 for over a year now.. without issue ! Must admit, the low power consumption drew me to it... I have a fluval internal that uses more !

Well...if you want to resurrect an old post. I have one of these. I run it without the sponges, full of choco puffs. I don't have to touch it. It just sits there and filters...Great filter. But...that's my opinion.

Which Ecco do you have?

I am considering the Ecco 2234 for my 125l. It states its up to 200ltr but i hear over filtering USUALLY does no harm, if anything you cant overfilter?



Any thoughts?

In the end I bought the Marineland C-260 alias Tetratec EX-700, as it was a very good price, and easy to import. Here in Mexico I was only able to get the Ecco.

I understand they planned on doing it, and replacing it by the Ecco, until they found out that the Ecco was not as successful as they expected it to be. I was in Europe 2 weeks ago (ENgland, Netherlands and Germany), and they were still being sold there.....

Get the 2236. Its got 4 baskets and is worth the little extra itll cost.
