Eheim 3535 surface suction extractor

I have came accrossed thia on a website. I looked it up on Eheim website and it just say that it extracts protien from the surface of the water?

Is this just a cheap protien skimmer for sw tank, or is it for FW too?

I an using one on my Eheim 2217. good buy, not realy a protein skimmer in the marine sense. What it does do is remove floating dust a particles from the top surface, making the water clearer. I have found it also cleans up the small bits of flak food left hanging in the water.


Be aware it only comes with a 12mm tube adapter, so if you have a 16mm outlet you will need to buy a step down adapter, Ehein do sell one.
