Eheim 2213

Im after an external filter for my rio 125 and saw an eheim 2213 going for 15 quid on ebay.The only problem is there are no inlet pipes or spray bar.
Now is the filter worth buying and finding cheap replacement parts or shall i save my pennies and go for a fluval305 or tetratec1200???

Replacement parts for eheim's are easy enough to find, the intake and spray bar arent too expensive. Personally I prefer eheim models to those others that you have mentioned.

Is the spray bar essential or can i do without??

Well you can do without it, but it wouldnt be the best use of the outlet.
