Eggs

Hi all, new to fish but went to clean front of tank and after I wiped inside a little I saw dots in a line, they looked liked eggs but not sure which fish, think I wiped them off but left a mark . Cld it be my danios or tetras

I have a black shark , neons guppy and just got small plecs and small cat fish

That sounds like snail eggs. I have two snails that had eggs(about a week ago, they take *i think* two weeks to hatch) and they are on the side of my tank, in a line. They do look like a cluster of light pink bubbles. They had eggs before that I accidentally knocked off when I was cleaning and you could still see the outlines of the bubbles on the tank. Of course they are a little above the water line in the tank, but I've heard not all snails leave the water. Could it be from a snail?

both danio's and tetra's are egg scatterers and plecs also lay eggs (no idea about sharks I'm afraid) so it could've been any of them to be honest.

Eggs are normally covered in a sticky residue when they are first laid (going by my cory eggs anyway) so it will be this residue that has been left behind on the glass.

It would possibly be better to ask one of the moderators to move this thread to the appropriate forum area where you will get better replies as this is the livebearers section and doesn't deal with egg layers

thanks for the info,, will wait to see if they hatch and see what i get unless they get eaten
