Eggs in my tank...What do I do?

Hi everyone. I was looking at my tank today and I have found two egg sacs, one in my hornwort that looks intact and one in my java moss that looks like it may have been disturbed. The sac is clear and so are the eggs. I have no idea what kind of eggs they are. I had two Boesmane Rainbow fish (male and female) in there up until a couple of days ago. I have 5 serpaes, and two aquatic frogs. I also have one snail that I had never seen before, how do they reproduce? There might be more in my plants that I don't know about.

Does anyone know what kind of eggs these are, and what can I do to ensure that they survive? I have never had this happen before. Thanks for your advice.

What colour are the eggs.

the eggs are clear with small offwhite centers.

I would just leave them alone, but keep an eye on them and when you see them start to hatch try to capture as many of the fry as you can.

They might even be from your frogs!

I just found more eggs stuck to the side of my tank. I am now leaning towards it being the snail that is laying them. Can they hatch without another snail to fertilize the eggs? I don't think I want that many snails in the tank. The one I do have came as a big surprise. I think it hitched a ride on my driftwood. I rinsed it before I added it to the tank, but it already had an anubias on it, so it must have hidden in the roots.

They're from the snail and yes, they don't need 2 to reproduce - the small ones in your tank are hermaphrodites !! If you don't want any snails, then get rid of the egg sacks now.

Thank you. I will get rid of the eggs right now. I don't want the snails to eat my plants. I am amazed that the snail is still alive. I have been treating that tank for ich for the past 2 weeks, using meds that I was told would kill any invertebrates in the tank. In fact I am still treating for ich right now.

Thanks for letting me know about the snails. Too bad though, it would have been interesting to have fry.
