Hello Guys
My tank is cycling at the moment and I added what I think is an oxygenator plant (Egeria densa) I am just abit worried as I only put it in the tank last week and already it is sending out thin yellowish/white threads to the sand below.

I am assuming that is it its roots...

My parents seem to have an abundance of this plant in their pond and it seems to go mad....

My question is this: Is it a good one to start with???
Thanks

That is what I thought....

I am going to be doing alot of weeding in my tank in future just to keep it in check.

What other plants are good to go for that are easy to look after...

My Ph is 6.4
Temp 25-26.

Go with egeria densa, its what's known as an "algae buster" meaning it grows so fast it helps to quell any algae problems.
Hygropholia polysperma is another such plant as is mexican oaf leaves.
