I'd bet the ideal range is the same as for tropical fish My pool stays almost Algae free in the winter when temps are in the low 60 F or so range .. Good Day ... B)

Obviously too heat much may kill the algae - but probably kill the fish and higher plants first. That's my guess anyway.
