Eep! Cherry Barb With Red Spots On Its Belly!

i have just noticed my cherry barb (female) has red, blood red spots on her belly, on the sliver bit. The are mostly in the middle but her gills are red aswell!

What is it? and what can i do to get rid of it??

What are the tank stats?

Red gills could indicate ammonia poisoning, or something else.

When you look at the fish from above, does it look like a pinecone?

Yeah try and upload a picture from above it could be dropsy.

hi, it is starting to have white "spikes" now, i cant get a pic cos my camera cant ever get a good photo of my fish but i can draw it

it also looks like bruises, and the red spots are joining together
