eel tail catfish

I went and bought an eel tailed catfish yesterday from teh lfs. He was going fine in the tank yesterday, but when i got up this morning i couldnt find him

I looked inside teh filter just in case he had gotten in there, i looked underneath the tank, around the tank and hes not there.

Does anyone know if these fish are burrowers?

If you're refering to Aspredo aspredo, the Eel Tailed Banjo catfish, then yes, they are big-time burrowers.

Lovely fish. I'm trying to find one myself.

/edit/ I've just looked at your link. Forget everything I just said. that's something entirely different, and I have no idea. :\

that looks somewhat like the eel catfish i had, he never burrowed, but he did jump in the filter a few times. he was nocturnal so he only came out at night. I think he also would jump out of tanks when he was just introduced to them becasue he would get really stressed or something, i dunno i just know he jumped and dried out at the store when i took him back in
