Eel Loach?

Went to lfs today and they had a batch of black khuli's in and also in the next tank, Eel loaches - are these just a different colour khuli, can't find much out about them. They look very small, a lot thinner than khuli's but have the same face. Just wondered if they need anything special?

I have four normal khuli's and wondered whether they would mix?
