Methinks it's a pancalus. Any confirmation? Plus, whats the best tactic to fatten him up quickly? He's in a 2ft with sparkling gouramis, Betta smaragdina, a Garra sp., a couple of tetras and a laod of kuhlis, and he doesn't eat much. He's 2.5", btw..

keithi?

if not, check http://www.fishbase.org/identification/spe...2&areacode=

Hard to tell from the photo though. I went by the horizontal line on the face, the dark vertical bands and where the rays on the tail begin.

Yeah, I'll try to get a better pic, he was wise to my intent and swam away pretty quickly. You can't tell from the photo but his tail fin is yellow. Not really sure it's a keithi, vertical bars are too big. Mine is more 'speckled' when you look closely. The best matches are when I Google-Imaged pancalus-

Unfortunately the pics are tiny but you get the gist.

looks like a "normal" peacock to me.

Nothing like a peacock :) No peacock 'eyes' on the body, yellow tail, speckled/stripy....

yeah, my bad... I was looking at the front body too much

Mmm, looks more like keithi to me...

He does look thin as well.

Id think at 2.5" youd be having to chop up earthworm pretty frickin small..... id go with the easy option, live or frozen bloodworm, and distract the other tank members wtih something elsewhere when you feed him - and feed him after lights out for now as hes probably not brave enough to feed in the light.
