Zebra plecs are insect larvea and mollusc eating fish and take very little algea in their diet, as for para plecs i have no idea what they even are
By small algea eating plecs i meant things like Ancisterus and Peckolita species which live on 99% algea.
I got one and he is a lovely little guy that will eat practically anything
I don't have experience with zebra plecs but the planetcatfish site suggested to me that it would eat anything meatyand safe for fish, but i see what you are saying now
