Jessica, you can get some gloves that you can use which might help if your a bit squeamish

LOL nearly all crabsa wont harm you at all.. they just shrink backinto the t rock and wont arm you. put your hand on a 3ft bristleworm and you WILL know all about it! And 3ft is just the average size... some get as large as 7ft! and these monsters were still never even known to be in the tank at the time!

Sorry.. i dont want to scare you but i just want you to realise that crabs really arent the danger you think they are and although they look ferocious they are nothing like that.

Wow...
I found one of those in my tank. I dont like to touch live rock because parts break off and it feels like im being invenomated or something has just slithered up my cuticle. BTW i found a tapeworm on the tank wall today, any ideas what to do with it? I feel like im in danger whenever im in the tank -_-

3ft?!! I thought they stayed tiny!!

If i find any 3ft worms in my tank i really wont put my hand in it

I saw a video of one being pulled out of the volcanic sand in indo-australia somewhere and it was measured at over 4ft long..... We pulled one out of the seahorse display tank at work that was over a foot long, so i can believe they must get huge in the wild!

Ben

Oh, the joys I cant wait to begin to play with, lol!

You would be surpsied how small they can go.. a bristle worm that is about 5 or 6 inches in length when compressed can stretch out to nearly 2ft if it feels it needs to!

So your monster 7ft worm could be in an area as small are just a few inches if it was compressed and coiled up :-(

so the one at work could actually be multiple times the size if it is a foot long "compressed" ?

*shudders at the thought*

Ben
