I usually don't stay and watch my tanks very closely after I feed, but today I did... and I got to hear my clown loaches clicking!!! Oh it was so cute!!

Sorry... completely pointless post, but I'm excited!!

Wow, I never knew they did that either! Is it just clown loaches, or do other loaches click also? Any time other than feeding time, or do they seem to communicate this way? That's so cool! :hyper:

my yoyo loaches do it too, but not as loud as my clown loaches. They especially do it with cucumber.

So that's what that sound is !!! :hyper:

Have heard it before when my Clowns have been eating the cucumber, but just thought it was the lead strips I use to hold the cumcumber underwater, hitting the side of the tank !!!

Is kinda cool though !!! ;)

Other night i heard my raphael catfish making grunting noises, very scarey!!

:D My Silver sharks make that clicking noise when there eating my pleco's algae waffer.
My balas do that too :p , i's cool to watch & hear them, I think that the loaches clicking is a bit higher pitched though

My clown loaches click all the time. My tank is in my bedroom and they click every once in awhile al night. But i think the only thing they're really saying is "back off! I"ll cut you!"

Balas make that noise aswell especially when they are snapping up some bloodworms from the surface

Mine don't wake me up, and I never get sick of it.
