Admin have confirmed it has been upped to an hour now.
 
that still does not solve what i want to do with my journal. you'v seen it. iv got 2 pictures on the first page one of when the tank had started and one of the week of the update.

in my opinion we should be able to edit our posts freely. what does the hour device actually do/prevent from happening?

why not open the journal threads and classifieds to full editing when ever and keep the rest of the forum (which is the main bulk on information and advice as a 1 hour limit imo)
 
Agree with Mike. Doesn't do much good for editing on a day to day basis. I do understand why this was done but hopefully something can be done to make only those types of threads editable.

More than likely one reason would be to stop disgruntled members from removing their intellectual property before leaving the site for another one.

This was already investigated and it's not possible at the moment because of the framework the forum is using. In classifieds, there is also a good reason to have a strict edit limit to prevent the ad from being changed after agreements are made.
