That's a good price. Can't remember what it was but saw a morph for sale that was about £300  What is a TUG?

TUG stands for The Urban Gecko. just a "brand name" as such, but they're famous for not going yellower as they age, as most other snows seem to do.

Cheers :good: There are just so many different morphs to go for.....it's gonna be a hard decision, although Hubby is much better at making decisions than I am

There's 100s!

Luckily, i dont like most of them. I hate leopard geckos without the spots (its not a leo then, is it?!) and i hate bright ones like tangerines... just looks ming.

So that leaves snows, and normals, really.

Yeah not so keen on those either......saw some that were flesh coloured with no pattern at all. So why are they called Snow if they have other colours? I've also seen some described as Tremper.....is that because they come from his lines?

Im really not hot on my morphs! It's all amazing confusing! Like two super snows wont make a super snow, but a TUG snow and a Mack snow will... i think?

They're called snow (mack snow) because they're usually lighter then the normals, but mack snows can sometimes have a bit of yellow on them... other snows usually dont... :D

Also, TUG snows come in gradings... for how white they are i think. :D

And yeh, tremper albinos were "invented" by Ron Tremper.

Bit like the corns.......never realised how many different morphs there were and now I want them all. I think my wish list is complete and then I see something else

yeah, 100s of morphs of corns. corn genetics are easy-ish though... when you breed like say a normal and a snow (i like snow.) then the dominant colour (i think it's normal in this case, not sure though. again, not hot on morphs) will be the colour of the babies, but they'd be het snow. And if they're both dominant/recessive then it'll be a mix of babies.

at least, i think that's how it works?! I could just be spouting bull, though.

Apparently if you breed a snow with a different morph it should bring out the hets of the other snake if they are unknown. We're hoping to put our Snow females with our boys eventually. Will be really interesting to see what we get.

Oooh, didnt know that! Suppose it makes sense though. :good:

Im after some Cresties....although the Leos are lovely too

hi, i am geting some geckos soon, was just wondering about the chippings though, won't he accidentally eat them and become ingested?

Yes, it's very possible.

But if you feed him in a separate box, then it's fine. Also, there's a risk with any substrate except toilet roll and slate tiles.

There is still a risk with toilet roll. Its very small but i have herd of a few cases where a leo has ripped up and eaten toilet roll and become impacted. Slate or lino are your best bet if you want a nice substrate

Seeing as its become a show your gecko thread i wanna join lol my lot are feeling left out, i also have eggs the incubator

They will be some nice looking babies. I picked myself a TUG snow the other day week i was at CPR, hes settling in now. I went back a few days later and they were all gone. I knew they wouldn't stick around at that price.

I put them in for mixed sexes so its going to be a suprise, i am going to keep them so its fine.

Keep us updated when you do breed as it will be a nice project to follow :good:
