I've read posts and looks like eco complete is one of the most popular bedding for plants.

I've never used that before and i am gonna ask some questions :)

1) i've noticed some beddings cloud water with small particles. Although it eventually settles down, when filter is on strong, it flies every where.
2) Can i just use ecocomplete for bedding? (so no gravel no sand no other suppliment)
3) how much of it are you supposed to use? (i've always used pound per gallon for other beddings)
4) does it look good? (i mean no offence but there are some ugly-sh!t feces looking bedding)

thanks in advance

p.s. On the aside, is there a way to track your own posts? I have to dig through to find my posts and i forget where i put my posts in.

Im rushing off so dont have time to answer your other questions but the best way to track your posts is if you click 'my assistant' at the top right then click my last 10 posts. I'll try give you some input on the other stuff if no-one else has answered by the time Im back on. :)

1) No, it might cloud the water to start with but once it settles its fine. Been using mine for over a year and its never clouded the water despite me messing with it constantly!

2) Yes - no need to add anything over the top, but you could if you wanted to I guess.

3) Enough to get 2-3" on the bottom of the tank, like you would with gravel.

4) IMHO yes, I love the black substrate against the green of the plants and colours of the fish.

PS - If you do an advanced search you can select posts by a specific person. Alternatively if you want to track a thread you've stated, when viewing it, on the right side, under options, select track this topic. I tend to use the 'Immediate Email Notification' option. That way the forum sends you an email when someone posts, then MSN tells me I've received an email, hence you know to check my thread :) Im such a geek! B)

Re changing it, it should last a number of years
