Post count has no bearing on people trying to sell comercially on here unfortunately and that is one of the main problems. A member with 5000 posts may still have a business and link to it on Ebay.

once one does it everyone follows. They can set a rule but people wont obey it, it will just create a lot of work again.

The Board will become inundated with commercial sales, which is not the point of a forum. That sort of thing can also have legal implications and would require full-time moderation - best left to the likes of Ebay and Aquabid etc.

aye, i think it's because some people equate high post count with good knowedgable answers.

so if all you've done is signed on to the site and said 'nice pics' on a thousand threads in the photo section your user id then doesn't show you as an experienced member.

So it's kind of trying in a small way to make it so only your meaningful posts helping people out with stuff count towards your post count.

That make sense?!

What are you trying to say Miss 10,000+ posts ? My posts hold no merit? I'm shocked and i'm shamed.....

just because some people think that a high post count means good posts that doesn't mean I agree with them.

considering i've one of the highest post counts on the board and i know full well how much rubbish i waffle on it'd be a pretty silly opinion to hold!

I agree with Ferris about the ebay links, the numbers work fine. Dont fix something that isnt broken
