This is an easy planted tank. It's a very slow-to-mature aquascape though. It's taken around 12 months to look like this.

Standard Juwel internal filter (600 lph).

Standard lighting (2 x 18w T8) - Zoo Med Ultra Sun and Arcadia FW tubes.

All plants are easy, slow growers that do well in low light - Java fern, Anubias and various crypts. No pruning necessary.

Substrate is a layer of Tropica Plant Substrate topped with plain gravel.

I add 2ml of Tropica Plant Nutrition+ liquid per day.

1/3 water change per week.

There is CO2 injection but it isn't necessary with this lighting and planting. Growth would be even slower without it.

Fish are pentazona barbs and glowlight danios. They are a nightmare to photograph.

This tank will be featuring in PFK magazine in a couple of months. It's had a professional photo shoot so you will be able to see the fish!

Anyway, enough boring stuff....

Thanks.

I hope this may help to show that planted tanks don't need to be expensive or high-maintenance...
