Easiest Sa Cichlid To Breed?

Redundant to add, but yes, the convict cichlid is by far the JAW fish of the cichlid world. Put a group of 6 juveniles together, and you will get atleast one pair, if not two

Ox :good:

Convicts are Central American cichlids. I have found that some of the easier to breed South Americans include the more common acara types, such the blue and port acara.

Technically, convicts are central american, not south american. But they breed like rabbits.

my firemouths bred within 2 weeks of being added to my tank. they seem to be easy

Ok!... Now I get it.... When you're talking SA cichlids, You're reffering to South Amarican Cichlids and not South African Cichlids....... I withdraw everything I've ever said on this forum about Tillapia Mombassica and Sunfish.......

Has to Be Convicts You could probably breed them in a muddy puddle :good:

All I had to do to breed mine was buy them and take them home and they never stopped.. :hyper:

Are they male and female? You might want to post pics. What size is the tank? What else is in it? And what is the water parameters?
