Easier Water Changes?

What can also help in the raising water with a Python that I failed to include is to actually "fill" the hose up completely with water to expel any air, once  that's done then turn the tap on the python unit and hopefully now full of water there should be enough vacuum to draw water through and up to your sink :)

Not my advice so my apologies if it was wrong this is the video.
He does say he's using "Prime" and Prime does need to be dosed for the tanks full volume (with hose refill method) for it's effects in ammonia, nitrite and nitrate reduction to work

Thanks for the advice. Any suggestions, also, on when to add the dechlorinator? Don't like the idea of chlorinated water and possible heavy metals from the mixer tap going into the tank, even for a short while, so can you add it before the water goes in, or does it have to be after? Or during?

just pour in the required amount just before refilling, it will instantly dechlorinate all new water entering the tank.
