:D hi everyone the krib here aw it has been a hectric week i shall tell you about it later anyway i was wondering could anyone tell me if earthworms from your garden are safe as fish food ?

As long as you clean them of their slime coating first then earthworms make great food, if your fish are a little slow then you will need to kill the worms first by pouring boiling water on them or if the fish are too small to eat a whole worm they will need to be chopped into smaller pieces.

Here's what I do:

Just after a rainy night, dig in the garden and retrieve about 10 worms.

Wash them in cold water to get the soil and coating off and calm them down.

Put them in a flora/ice cream container seperated by pieces of kitchen roll.

Wack them into the deep freeze.

Twice a week snap a 2cm piece off and chop it into 2mm pieces.

Drop in tank and watch your fish enjoy  (although not for the worms  )
