Dying Guppies

can we get a smily face icon that can cross its finger X :)X
does it look like a skull and crossbones?

:( Blue neon guppy died this morning. His fin was clamped and he was ghostly white.

What should be my next step? The other fish seem fine.

Is it possible a different water conditioner could have affected the guppies? I usually use stress coat or tetra aqua safe (I think that's what it's called). I ran out of both and purchased kordon novaqua plus water conditioner when I purchased and tried adding new guppies over the past 2 weeks, and have used it since.

Would it be a good idea to just treat the entire tank with medication to be safe, or should I just wait it out and continue with regular partial water changes?

I'm so frustrated and just plain bummed that my 2 good fish came down with something and died.

Thanks to all who took the time to help me. I do appreciate it.

different water conditioners are unlikely to be the cause. Most water conditioners only contain sodium thiosulphate and maybe a dye.

I would keep a close eye on the other fishes in the tank, especially any other guppies. If any of them even look like they are getting clamped fins then medicate the tank with a broad spectrum antibiotic. It will probably wipe out your filter bacteria as well so if you have to treat them cut the feeding back and monitor the water quality for several weeks after treatment.
If none of them show any signs and everyone seems healthy, then maybe try adding a few fish in a months time.

There's no more guppies in the tank. The original 2 that I have had for months were the last 2 to die.

I'll keep an eye on the other fish. Right now, the tank temp is 77.5 degrees and all the fish have good fins/color and are acting normal. (Knock on wood).

Thanks for the advice.
