You need to stabilise the tank first, make sure it is fully cycled (in your case, that means 0ppm ammonia and nitrite for a week with no water changes).

Which AquaOne tank did you get, the semi-circular one?

I'm sorry to hear that, but the silver lining is that you can now do a fishless cycle.

Have a read of this link. It explains how to do a fishless cycle, which SSSSOOOOOO much less work than a fish-in cycle - you won't need to do daily water changes.

Pop out to Homebase and get yourself some ammonia (give it a shake first and see if it froths like kids bubble-stuff - if it doesn't it's fine, it's the stuff I used when I did mine), and go for it. If you do that today, you won't lose the small bacteria you've already built up, and the process will hopefully be quicker than starting from scratch.

The second real big advantage of a fishless cycle, is that once you're done, you can add your full stock load in one go!

he still has fish, so not possible. carry on testing and doing water changes until both ammonia and nitrite are 0. Then i suggest added a couple of fish at a time. but really do ask for advice on the fish you like on the forum first to see if they are suitable for a 65L tank. gluck
