Hi Guys and girlies,

Super quick post (at work)

Wildwoods are growing Dwarf riccia in their display tank and are selling big clumps for 3.95 each. i've made 7 carpets out of £8 worth..... get on down there people, they have quite a lot of it and should be available on an ongoing basis.

gotta dash....

keep well

just wondering, how big is normal riccia fluitians? cos i bought some, but its teeeeny tiny, guessing it might be dwarf.

They might be riccia trimming. Give them about a week or so to grow. If they dont than they are dwarf riccia.

ive had it for a few weeks, got a big lot, about 15cm sqaure. covered two bigish round stones and its growing like mad, also got a heap in some plastic mesh netting cos i dunno what else to do with it, and its quadrupled in volume.

just wouldnt mind say, a coin or pen put beside them in this piccie for instance.

not to press the point but as there have not been to many replies i thought i'd bump this thread.

if any of you have tried to find dwarf riccia (not riccia fluitians) then you will know it's like gold dust.

here's some pics to inspire.

more info in my pinned thread on how to make the above...

this is a super cheap price. i have paid £15 in the past for the same amount they are selling for £3.95!!!

Which Enfield is that? I've managed to find several in the UK! Pitty I'm going away for a few weeks would stop by and pick some up, it sounds like a bargain! Hope you're right in them keeping it in long term, will prob be over that way sometime.

Cheers for the heads up Jimboo

Enfield in Middlesex (North London) :D They put them in quite large plastic tubs with water in it :good:

yeah, mine sounds like its the dwarf then. the sections are very very small.

i got a 15cm square clump of it off ebay for about $8AUD. ive got a HEAP left and its growing like crazy!

i've only managed to give a bit away.

might stick some up on ebay and keep growing in the tank! didnt realise it was hard to find (and so expensive!)

Hmm. I went a few days ago and saw absolutely nothing. I think I better go back today... not that I have any space in my tank.

I'm sure I'll think of something.

They still had about 5 or 6 tubs left when I went on Saturday :) They were doing 3 tubs for £10 though so.... maybe someone bought quite a few :p But always ask them because sometimes they don't show them. Good luck ;)

jimbooo, you sure it's dwarf? I've just been there (and bought a tub), but it was advertised as fluitians. It is tiny though. I tried taking some photos but I couldn't adequately show its size.

Anyway, how does one go about getting this stuff to form a pretty carpet-like substance?

100% dwarf!!! dont tell them as they do not realise what they have. they'll put the price up.

next step, open my pinned article and have fun......
