All the information you need is in the pinned topic of the oddball section! Please read up on that and then ask questions!! A short and quick answer for you would be no. :/

whys that there small, i no someone that has a figure 8 with 1 ram and angels..

The only thing I can think to tell you is that they are best kept in species tanks and go to the pinned topic!

Dwarf puffers are fresh water fish. They don't need different water conditions really. Just the fact they will nip other fish, be attacked themselves and probably find it difficult to get food.

What JayJay said just about sums it up. Dont get Dwarf Puffers for your tank. Dwarf Puffers are great fish to have though, I just recently got one and he's great. So dont rule them out all together just dont put them in that tank.

They like brakish. And need diffrent water chemistry then cichlids.

No they don't! Don't keep them with cichlids, but they are not brackish fish. Please don't give information if you are unaware of the fish.

Figure 8's however, are said to do better in brackish water. Don't keep them with rams.

yes I probably shouldve commented on giving out false info in my earlier posts. And just incase you havent gotten it yet THEY ARE NOT BRACKISH, TOTALLY FRESHWATER.

OKAY I'M SORRY I GUESS I'LL TYPE THIS IN CAPS LIKE YOU GUYS DID, I KEEP MY FIGURE 8 IN BRAKISH AND HAVE HEARD PUFFERS DO BEST IN BRAKISH WATER, MAH BAD!

loko17 that came across as very rude and discespectful, Fella already told me that they were not Brackish I can get the message after hearing it once thanks!

Figure 8's do, do better in Brackish, although when young can survive fresh, but would benefit from moving to brackish as they get older. Dwarfs are full fresh water.

Oh please, get your head out of the gutter. If you want to see disrespectful I can give you disrespectful. Seriously I was just trying to get your attention by the bold and Caps because believe it or not I've told people 1 thing several times and they still do not get it and thats the only way I can get through to them. I'm sorry if you saw that as rude but it wasnt and I've seen much more rude and disrespectful things said on this forum with no complaint.

now, now, DL. loko was only trying to add emphasis to a specific portion of his post. and since most freshwater fish respond VERY poorly to being kept in enough salt to qualify as brackish, the extra emphasis is well warranted.

there are a lot of people that have to be told a half-dozen times whether or not their fish are brackish; if you spend a lot of time in oddballs or brackish, you just start to assume that most people resemble brick walls. sorry to accidentally lump you in with that
