Dwarf Puffer Tank Mates?

i would like to ask what fish would go well with a couple of pufers in a 10G tank, ideally some sort of bottom feeder.

10gallon tank is too small for any pleco... only real thing that goes with a DP is an oto cat, they seem to leave these guys alone

Female Bn's are fine in 10g tanks.

I wouldn't put a BN or any other type of pleco in a 10gallon tank regardless... I just find it cruel... oto cats would do a fine job

yeah i think bn's would just polue the water too much. what kind of filter do you have because if it is very good then you may be able to put a bn

most things wont live with dwarf puffers, saying that i have 3 in a 15gallon with ottos, apple snails and 1 shrimp.
maybe try a few otto cats. or amano or ghost shrimps, my shrimp is bigger then the puffer. and large apple snails tend to be left alone too.
but remember, dwarf puffers need not only well cycled tanks, but very mature tanks. and the water needs to be kept clean, so excellent filtration is needed, but not too much current.

Ghost shrimps and Amano shrimps will eventually just become food... my DPs (when I had them) ate ghost shrimp...

Pygmy cories, maybe? On the topic of plecos in a 10 gallon, I have a bulldog pleco in my 10 gallon and he's fine. Don't know if you'd want one, though.

The pygmy cories would be killed unfortunately. i don;t recommend anything as an tankmate for a dp personally. But oto's tend to be the best option. Anything else is a risk.

when i had my DP's i ahd them with bumblebee goby's my gobies were slightly bigger than the DP's but still they left each other alone. Never had a fight and no one died either!! maybe its just my luck or idk can somone confirm this?

Why females? My female is a right hefty girl and IMO too big for the 19 gallons I'm keeping her in.

I had Oto's with my DP's in a 15 gal setup and they weren't harrased by the DP's at all. Unfortunatly they were as difficult to acclimatise as i'd read and I lost them all. Not because of the DP's i'd like to add though.
