Dwarf Puffer And Cory Cats?

Hey! I'm thinking of getting a little 10gallon set up for my room with mabye 1 or 2 dwarf puffers and like 3 cory cats... would this be fine? I've read the pinned article, but I was wondering if cory cats would be alright with these guys providing I have enough plants and hiding spots?? any suggestions?

i'd say probably not. cory's are just a little too twitchy and tempting to safely house with puffers, especially ones known to be bad fin-nippers. and even with lots of hiding places, there's no place where a 2" cory can hide that a .5" dp can't sneak into.

alright so no cory cats any suggestions on a bottom dweler for a clean up crew for that tank? I know it says ottos, but they can be very sensitive

The only tankmates I would say are possible are in the link at the top.

I'd also say that ottos aren't as sensitive as I was warned about in my experience.

Alright good I work at petsmart and we've got cheap ottos (like 2$ each or something ) and as for the dwarf puffers... 1 or 2 do you think? I'm still doing some research on them... but still not sure because I know they CAN be compatible... but would 2 be 1 too many for a 10gallon? I know you said 3gallons would be fine for 1 Fella... so 10gallons can house 2... but would it work out between the 2??

EDIT--> Just found an article that says "Dwarf puffers are not as pugnacious as others in their family, and ignore the otocinclus and loaches." Is this true???

the trick with otos are to get ones with full tummies. mine's lived through Hell.

I wouldn't add loaches.

But yes, 2 Dp's in a 10 gallon would be fine.
