Hi , ive had 2 clown loaches in my communial tank for a few weeks now. I recently added some more fish to the tank including a pair of Dwarf Gouramis - a male and a female.
The two clown loaches are following the male everywhere and appear to be either "nipping" him or cleaning him , neither of which seem to be distressing him to much because he just takes it.
Are the loaches bullying him or cleaning him or something else i dont know about. Thanks guys.

try look more closly at the male gourami for any signs of bites.
cleaning is not very likly but :/

I have a 3" clown loach in my community tank, who follows my dwarf gouramis everywhere. I don't think it does any damage, but he just seems to like hanging around with them - it swims quite gently around them, not aggressive. Because the gouramis are always grazing, the loach thinks they know where the food is - hence the attraction. :look:
Does this sound like the behaviour of your loaches?

Hi mate , thanks for replying. Yep that sounds about right , there are no visible bites ( thanks nattetra ) so i assume they are just following him around , he isnt bothered by them , so i guess all is good. Thankyou.
