do you think i can plant dwarf hairgrass.. without my balas eating it... and with the whole larger gravel would that be bad... under the gravel is flourite soil though so...?

Hairgrass is tricky, even in fully planted tanks, but if you can get some free or cheap then it's worth go as it might go ok in your tank.
