What might be wrong with him? and what type of medication can i get for him?

What, how much / how often have you been feeding?

How long you had him, other tank inhabitants, etc? Dwarf Gouramis aren't the hardiest fish these days due to a lot of breeding, it could be bacterial... How is he acting?

I've been feeding him flake food twice a day and only a tiny pinch of what he can eat there is never any uneatin food left. I've had him in there about 2 months now with no other fish in the tank. He was just floating around barely moving all day and usually he is going around the tank everywhere exploring.

I skipped his second feeding today caz I thought it mite be over feeding.

have you tried giving him some frozen peas twice a week. cook them and de-shell them and mush them up and pop them in the tank.
this happened to my dwarf gourami. I gave him peas twice over 7 days and it went down. I found it was probably over feeding on flake and caused him to be constipated. he is fine now.

Try some shelled peas he could be constipated.
Need frozen foods and veg in his diet.

He seems fine today now hes back to his old self zippin around the tank.
I'll try and give him some peas twice a week though. Should I be feeding him twice a day like I have been?

Flakes are ok once aday thats all I feed mine on, them a frozen food and a veg for the rest of the day.

One question.. I notice you say frozen peas, are canned peas not good? I notice our canned peas have additives like sugar and salt. I am not sure if frozen peas do..

Frozen peas are the best.
Never fed canned peas so couldn't say.
They are a laxative.
