Hi Undawada,

I didn't know there was another Ottawan on here, I thought it was only DiscoMafia and I. Where did you see the dwarf corys? I'd really like to get some, too, they're adorable!

That makes 4 Ottawans!

I'm from Ottawa too... I work at SuperPet in Kanata, and we have pygmy cories for sale, I think they're $4.99. I'm going to be getting some, for sure...
So that snake is yours? Niceeeee. How are the ottos doing? Didn't know you were a member of TTF as well. Undawada and TorPeteO aren't members of OVAS, yet... Better join up guys, loads of friendly people and deals to be made. At least come to the auction at the end of the month. :)

Squeeker, I checked out the SuperPet in Kanata today, but I couldn't find any dwarf corys. I asked one of the guys whp works in fish, he said there weren't any, and didn't mention that there had been any recently. You got my hopes up!

I want dwarf cories for my 5 gallon betta tank!

I can't find them anywhere around here right now. The guy at the lfs said they were seasonal though!

just to wet your appitite a bit more - here is one of our pigmyas ;)

Ahh, sorry TorPeteO, I don't know why I said Kanata. I work at Merivale. :*) Must have been one of those days... We DO have pygmies at Merivale, but they came down with columnaris. They are currently being treated... hope they get better, but now I'm glad I waited to buy some! See, same for you... if I had told you the proper location, you would have bought some, and now you'd have a columnaris outbreak on your hands! :p

Yah, the snake is mine! He's a tangerine Honduran milk snake. I got him about a month ago from a breeder in Montreal, and he's fabulous. Great, low-maintenance, inexpensive pet (expensive pet, not expensive to maintain, I mean ;) ) And Discomafia, the Ottos are doing great! The tank is cleaner than it has EVER been! Thanks again! Good to meet ya!

Yah, you guys in Ottawa, get your butts on the OVAS site. It's good stuff. I'm pumped for the Giant Auction on March 6, should be lotsa good (and hopefully cheap) stuff there! Also, at the meeting on the 28, there will be a guest speaker who is a local breeder of bettas. Should be interesting, it will be my first meeting.

I have 8 pygmy corys in a 5G with a betta. I have 2 of the striped and 6 of the tail-spot species.

Here are some of the tail-spots feeding..

Nice to know the ottos are doing so well, I never had to feed them any algae tabs. You can know they're healthy by the size of their stomachs. Are you still looking out for a BN pleco squeeker? Give me a shout out if you do manage to find some.

Yah, still looking for a BN. SP Barrhaven has some, but I am not really keen on spending $16 for one. I also know that Big Al's has some, but I called to find out the price and they put me on hold for almost 15 minutes, so I'm not going to give them my money! I'm hoping there will be some at the giant auction.
