OMG! Those dwarf cories are just incredible.

I want to buy some for my 10gallon tank... Was thinking 4 or 5 with a betta or dwarf gourami...

I know 10 gallons are tiny, but is that too many fish?

Get them! dwarf corries are difficult to come by and you dont have so many fish yet.

Hi Undawada :)

Dwarf corys are great fish, even though they are tiny. And jflowers is right; get them while you can.

As for the 10 gallon tank, you could easily keep a dozen of them with a betta or one dwarf gourami, provided the bigger fish was friendly.

I only have two C. habrosus. because that's all that was left at the lfs, but am always on the lookout for more. I keep them in a 20 gallon long with about 20 panda corys and 10 otos. It was a well established tank to start with and with 2 water changes a week, it's working out very well.

Hi Undawada,

I didn't know there was another Ottawan on here, I thought it was only DiscoMafia and I. Where did you see the dwarf corys? I'd really like to get some, too, they're adorable!

Thanks!

Wow ... I saw loads of them today at my lfs, I thought they were just baby cories of some sort :p Might snap some up if they're going for a reasonable price.

Anything on breeding them?

I'd probably get some if I were to find them :p I don't know where Inchworm finds all of her cories over here  I never run into any interesting ones

That makes 4 Ottawans!

I'm from Ottawa too... I work at SuperPet in Kanata, and we have pygmy cories for sale, I think they're $4.99. I'm going to be getting some, for sure...

I bought three cories yesterday, two albino and a peppered (poor guy was all that was left of his species) and they were all tiny. Me and my girlfriend always get the littlest ones. If I could get ahold of ones that stayed little then we'd be happy.

I'd definitely say to get them. I don't know why the smaller ones always look cuter but they do and the dwarves are no exception.

I never would've thought pygmies were hard to come by! They're quite common here so i bought 3 awhile ago and they laid eggs yesterday for the first time. :D I have them in my 10g fry tank. I plan to buy atleast 3 more! They're too darn cute.

Squeekers, $4.99 for a pygmy?!!? Wow thats being ripped off. I can buy them for under $2 each here in montreal. I think they're sold 3 for $5.
Here's my group of 5, when I had 5:

Hi Dwarfs :)

It's just dumb luck most of the time. ;)

I seem to have a knack for finding them too late, when I can't get all the ones I want and have to settle for whatever is left though. :/ That's why I have two of one kind and three of another, when I really would like 6 of each.

I bought 4 wild caught C. trilineatus yesterday at Country Critters. They are much bigger than any of them I have ever seen before. Unfortunately, they have fin rot, but I am hoping I can cure them like my wild caught bronze corys.

I went there hoping to find some habrosus or other dwarf cory, but no luck on that.
