Ok..my hospital is having a photo contest. If I post some of my pix over the years since I've had my tank, can you guys tell me if any are worth submitting or have a shot at win, place or show? Here is your chance to 'dunk the mod'. Have fun it with. I've posted links to save you all a headacheSH

9) Hey..Steel..don't take this the wrong way but don't give up your day job

That was a really tough decision because all the photos are great!
Decided on number 3 in the end.

Nice photos, although well composed, sadly many are slightly out of focus.

Gotta be numero 4. Numero 3 almost got it though as it is v.funny. If that is what you're looking for, then 3 it should've been.

BTW, Being a complete Marine Numpty, how do you grow that green coral stuff?

Not an easy choice, and as such I am yet to vote, though I will take an attempt to come off of the fence and explain my reasons for sitting there.

I ma guessing this is not going to be judged by aquarists. Therefore it probably needs to have a fish, or a huge reef as the subject.

That left me with a choice between 1, 3 or 4. An I think that the colours and subject of 4 make it your best shot.

I must add my own admitration for 7 as well.

I like no 3.. It's well framed and I like the way the solid colour of the erm.. yellow thing (!) balances the top of the image which has more to it. I'd crop out the bit of rock showing through at the bottom of the photo, though.

Nice pics!

I agree that the judges probably won't appreciate how difficult it is to take good pics of corals and how difficult it is to keep the corals, therefore they probably won't win you any prizes even though they're great photos.

I go for number four. A beautiful pic of a beautiful fish. Number three was close second though.

Good luck :good:

Exactly why I chose no. 4. Whilst 3 is gorgeous, and really cute, not many people will appreciate a weird little fish sitting on a yellow Leather. No. 4 though, you've got a gorgeous fish, and behind it are a multitude of colorful corals. :good:

I'm out on my own here (at the moment)

Number 6.... Great varaity of bright colours - no misting and well focused with Loads of detail

green with envy :good:

Definately no2 for me. I real clear close up showing loads of character. All are very good though :good:

2, 3, 4...I can submit more than one. Thanks. All. I'll you know how it goes. SH

How long did it take for you to get your medical degree? I was thinking of diving into that when I get into college but im not sure how many years im going to be looking at before I get my degree.

I would have to say 4, however i pressed the wrong one, so make 4 have 1 more!
