Dumb Guppy

I introduced new male guppies today but they are only chasing after female orange platies.
It is very weird. I've had guppies for long time but this is the first time that they are chasing something other then their own species.

If anyone had any experience with this please let me know.
These are guppies i spend lots of effort to show colours i want. And i only want them to mate the female guppy which i selected for.

Male guppies often try to mate with anything they can. It is quite funny actually. I wouldn't be to worried there. They will mate with the female when they are ready.

Fish are kind of dumb and not discriminitory. Don't worry about it. They will guess right eventually.

well i wouldnt be worried if the guppy chases other ones too.

He's been chasing same platy for days.

if he doesn't stop then i think you'll either need to seperate him or return him as he will probably stress the poor platy to death
