well what excatly causes the "pine cone deseise?" is it dirty water? what causes it? is it contagios, will corie get it too? they have no scales?

It's swelling caused by innumerable possible things. There really isn't a way of knowing for sure whether the actual cause is contagious or not.

Stress brought on by overstocking and horrible water conditions are the main reason why any diseases affect fish. Exact causes aren't quite known, but possible causes are viral or bacterial infections and metabolic or nutritional disorders.

Have you posted this question under emergencies?

What are the tank specs? Other inhabitants?

If possible, isolate the problem. If you move the fish to a quarantine tank, provide better food and water conditions and it should get better. If it doesn't get better in about a week, you could get a wide-sprectrum antibacterial medication as well.
