Dropsy Is My Worst Enemy!

Oh man!

I was doing H2O change last night on my divided 10gal and noticed that my lil' guy Mittens didn't come up (thinking that it was feeding time).

I looked for him and he was at the bottom, breathing heavy and kind of bloated. Isolated him and noticed that he was pine-coning! I HATE DROPSY!!!

I gave him a salt bath, added IAL, and some vita-chem. Looked in on him this morning and he looked like he was bigger. . . .

Not good!

My guy's not well either, he's got some sort of worm paracite...they can cause a lot of heart ache cant they..more so than other fish

Yup, I'm getting what seems to be a dropsy-like bacterial problem... lost ~4 bettas from it Luckily the rest seem fine, but it's worse when it doesn't respond to treatment.

You're using epsom salts right? I know it's a DUH! question but I'm testing you. I know some people have used aquarium salts which makes them retain moisture. Give him some good epsom dips and hopefully he comes around. Bummer!! Hope all goes well.
