Looking for the "perfect" piece(s) of driftwood. Found some cool ones on ebay, but the problem is the listing says "Freshwater Stream Driftwood - Unique Root Wood
Driftwood collected in Lawrence County, Indiana". Would this be okay? How do I know this isn't going to rot? If it's as easy as just getting the piece from a stream, I can do it myself. Where is the best place to find these? For my 30g, I've always got dry ones at the LFS and they worked okay after soaking. I have no idea where they came from though...

Got mine here. Manzanita

LOL! I responded to your post in the "other" driftwood thread. Thanks for the link! That looks perfect. How long has yours been in your tank now? I need to do a search and see if Manzanita grows in AZ. Might just go chop my own..... :)

It DOES grow in AZ! I'll be Manzanita hunting in a couple of weeks! I'll update what I find.

lol That site deserves recommendation. I had bought one piece and then another with great communication from them :D If you find a manzanita tree, i would sooooooooooooo pay for some pieces!

I desperately need a small branch for a ten gallon :) Keep that in mind stranger!! lol

LOL! Will do. I'd probably only charge to ship. You can do your own cleaning, etc. LOL!

I'm pretty sure I've seen these in the desert before but never thought twice about 'em.
